✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Please ask if you have any questions ! Even just to price check !

:new: Since a question came up for adopts purchased through emergency resell-- I added that bit in.

It seems like a lot of people have been getting hit by chargebacks lately.

I've been hit by a chargeback before and it SUCKS. It was a very long time ago, though. Please keep that in mind. I highly doubt their methods of operation have changed, though. So, here's a few things I've learned through my experience.

For every transaction revoked, it's a 20$ fee ! Regardless of how little the original payment was. I got hit with the 20$ fee for a 6$ commission.

YOU CAN GET THESE FEES REMOVED. Just call Paypal ! Be patient. It's not their fault. YOU MAY HAVE TO CALL MULTIPLE TIMES. Explain the situation, bring as much proof as you can grab. When I was hit, I got stuck with 6 fees of 20$. I called them three times and explained the situation. They removed all the fees for me. u vu Screaming at the buyer to pay these fees will only make matters worse.

I also eventually got my money back. It took months, but I believe that was because they were buying things they didn't actually have the money for. Many many people were hit.. If you resell any adoptables that were sold to someone who charged back on you, KEEP TRACK. You will have to send refunds if you resold their adopt.

:new: IF YOU HAPPEN TO BUY AN ADOPT THAT WAS RESOLD FROM SOMEONE WHO WAS CHARGED BACK ON-- Make sure the one who is selling it SENDS THE MONEY BACK IF IT DOES COME BACK. If they keep the money despite having sold the adopt, it's theft, they do not have the rights to sell it, it would still belong to the one who originally paid for it.

This could cause a lot of confusion if people are not careful. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN RESELLING ADOPTS. Make sure you keep track of the owners and notify the chargebacker that you have resold it ! Tell them that if their money does come back to you, they will get refunds.

TIPS FOR PAYPAL COMMISSIONS::
- Have clear terms of use, make sure the buyer understands them before making their purchase.
- Have payment sent as a SERVICE. If it is sent as a gift, it is considered fee evasion and you can get into a lot of trouble for that !
- TAKE NOTE OF WHO BUYS WHAT. Make the commissioner title their payment so you know who bought what. Example:: "Username payment for adoptable #1."

I thought this was widely known knowledge, but every time I see something regarding a chargeback, people are flipping out over the fees. There's a lot of other stuff you can do to fight these sort of things.

These are the things I learned when I personally called Paypal. Good luck. * ^* /
